Twins - 0If you haven’t been watching, the Cards lost game 1 due to poor hitting and pitching. Carpenter had a pretty bad night. In game 2, the Cards had 10 hits and could only score 2 runs. Holliday dropped a routine line-drive in the bottom of the 9th with 2 outs that setup the Dodgers win. The Rockies bats were on fire today. The Phillies had a late rally in the game but couldn’t pull it out and lost the game 5-4. Torii Hunter of the Angels had a big three-run homer in the 5th, and the Angels pitching staff shut-out the Sox to take an early lead in the series. And the Yankees didn’t surprise anybody by beating the Twins in their first game. Jeter added to his impressive stats with another homer.
