Rev. Al Sharpton Urges NFL to Reject Limbaugh’s Bid

Rev. Al Sharpton is very upset over Rush Limbaugh’s possible bid to buy the St. Louis Rams, and sent NFL commissioner Roger Goodell a letter expressing his concern today, saying that Limbaugh has been “divisive” and “anti-NFL” in some of his on-air comments. NFL Players Association executive director DeMaurice Smith is trying to solidify the union against Limbaugh’s bid in an e-mail to the union’s executive committee. And at least seven NFL players have publicly opposed Limbaugh’s interest in purchasing the Rams. Let’s not forget that In 2003, Rush Limbaugh worked briefly on ESPN’s NFL pregame show, but tenured his resignation after saying Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb was overrated because the media wanted to see a black quarterback succeed. Who’s got a petition against Limbaugh being an NFL owner and where can I sign it?
