Dodgers Out-Hit Phillies, Lose Game 1
The Phillies took the first lead in the NLCS series last, beating the Dodgers 8-6. The Dodgers beat themselves last night: they had 14 hits (but went 3-14 with RISP), and their pitchers combined for a total of 7 walks, 3 wild pitches, and 2 3-run homers. Ryan Howard’s 2-run double gave him 18 RBIs, breaking the record he shared with Mike Schmidt for most RBIs in Phillies postseason history.
With any luck, tonight will be the last home game at Dodgers Stadium this year, and the last chance any of you terrible Dodgers fans get to come out and show your true colors (what color would you call an asshole?).
